The Referee will call penalties

 

Referees determine incidental contact that may result from normal run of play

 

Only the Head Coach may ask the referee questions about rule clarification and interpretations. Players may not question calls.

Flag Obstruction

All Jerseys must be tucked in before play begins. The flags must be on the players hips and free from obstruction. Deliberately obstructed flags will be considered flag guarding.

 

Scoring
Touchdowns 6 points
Extra Points

 

Conversions
5 yard line (1 point) No Run only pass on 1 point conversion
10 yard line (2 point) Run or pass allowed

 

Catch- 1 foot in bounds

TD- Ball breaks the plane of the endzone

Bad snap ball placed line of Scrimmage

 

Interceptions (Pick 6) can be run back for touchdown.

Interceptions on 1pt conversion can be run back for 1 pt

Interceptions on 2 pt conversion can be run back for 2 pts

No Rushing/Blitzing QB has 5 Second count or dead ball next down

Peewee Division-The offensive team takes possession of the ball at its 40yard line and has three (3) plays to cross midfield (20 yard line). Once a team crosses midfield, they have (4) plays to score a touchdown in the Red Zone. (2 run plays per each first down)

 

MinorDivision-The offensive team takes possession of the ball at its 40yard line and has three (3) plays to cross midfield (20 yard line). Once a team crosses midfield, they have (4) plays to score a touchdown in the Red Zone .(1run play per each first down)

 

Major Division-The offensive team takes possession of the ball at its 50 yard line and has three (3) plays to cross the 35 yard line.From the35 yard line the offense has 3 play sto cross the 20 yard line. Once a team cross the 20 yard line has 4 plays to score in the Red Zone. (1run plays per each first down)

Pro Division-The offensive team takes possession of the ball at its 50 yard line and has three (3) plays to cross the 35 yard line.From the35 yard line the offense has3 plays to cross the 20 yard line. Once a team cross the 20 yard line has 4 plays to score in the Red Zone. (1 run plays per each first down)

 


Games are 7v7 

 

Game Management

 

Game Length
Four 10 minute quarters with running clock

 

Clock Management
Play Clock 30 seconds once Ball is placed down
Halftime 3 minutes long

Timeouts

(2) 1 minute timeouts per half
The clock will only stop for time-outs and injuries (it does not stop for incomplete passes, out of bounds, change of possession)
The clock will also stop in the final 2 minutes of the game (4th Qtr) if there is an offensive penalty, incomplete pass, or player runs out of bounce.
Clock will not stop in the last 2 minutes if a team is up more then 14pts.

 

Beginning Game Play
At the start of each game, captains from both teams shall meet at midfield for the coin toss to determine who will start with the ball. The visiting team willcall the toss.
The winner of the coin toss has the choice of offense or defense.

 

Run Plays
No Run Zone (Minor & Peewee Division) There are no runs within five yards of the midfield first down (25-20 yard line), or five yards of the goal line (5yard line-Goal line).

 

No Run Zone (Major & Pro Division) There are no runs within five yards of the first down (40-35 yard line)(25-20 yard line), or five yards of the goal line (5yard line-Goal line).

 

Runs must be outside of the Tackleand not directly straight up the middle through the center.

QB can't Run or leave the backfield!!

 

Penalty within No Run Zone does not allow the Offensive team to use a run.

Defense has to align 3 yards back from the line of scrimmage.

Pass outside hash for 12-14 age group behind line of scrimmage

 

Dead Ball

5 second Pass rule
Incomplete pass
Runners knee down
flag is pulled
Runner goes out of bounds

 

Ball carrier's flag in advertently falls off during the course of play the defense must one hand touch him down.

 

No Safeties

No Shovel Passes

No Laterals past original line of scrimmage unless last 10 seconds of Game

In the case of an inadvertent whistle, the offense has two options:

a. Take the ball where it was then the whistle blew, and down is replayed.

b. Replay the down from the original line of scrimmage.

Sportsmanship Rule:

If a team is leading by a margin of 25 or more points, the running clock will apply and only stop for charged timeouts.

 

Misconduct By Players, Managers, and Spectators
Unsportsmanlike conduct Pushing of players, verbal abuse,or profanity is not tolerated Automatic 10 yard penalty. 2nd Unsportsmanlike is automatic ejection.

Overtime

1st Overtime-Coin Toss will be called by home team. Each Team will receive the ball at the 10 yard line and have 2 downs to score. No Runs

 

2nd Overtime-Each Team will receive the ball at the 10 yard line and have 2 downs to score. No Runs

-5 yards from line of scrimmage

Flag guarding

-5 yards from line of scrimmage loss of down

Defensive unnecessary roughness

+10 yards from line of scrimmage

Defensive unsportsmanlike conduct

+10 yards from line of scrimmage

Offside

+5 yards from line of scrimmage

  

Illegal flag pull (Before the receiver has the ball)

+5 yards from line of scrimmage

Roughing the passer

+5 yards from line of scrimmage

Taunting

+10 yards from line of scrimmage

Offensive unnecessary roughness

-10 yards from line of scrimmage

Offensive unsportsmanlike conduct

-10 yards 

Offside / false start

-5 yards from line of scrimmage

 

Offensive pass interference

-10yards from line of scrimmage

Illegal motion (More than one person moving)
